Sample Non-Compete Agreement (California)

Parties Involved:

Employer: ABC Corporation
Address: 123 Business Rd, Los Angeles, CA 90001

Employee: John Doe
Address: 456 Elm Street, Los Angeles, CA 90002

Non-Compete Scope:

During the term of employment and for a period of 12 months thereafter, the Employee shall not directly or indirectly engage in any business that competes with the Employer within a radius of 50 miles of Los Angeles, CA, or solicit the Employer’s clients or employees.

Duration & Territory:

This Agreement shall be effective during the Employee’s employment and for 12 months after termination, within the geographic area of Los Angeles County, California.

Additional Provisions:

• The Employee agrees to maintain the confidentiality of all proprietary information.
• This non-compete clause shall not restrict the Employee from owning less than 2% of publicly traded companies.
